In 1985 Richard and his father-in-law Ian began running Tech Hose from Ian's garage in Ross on Wye, with Richard's wife Karen looking after the paperwork along with managing a young family. Nearly 40 years later, the location and size of the business has changed, but the heart of the business has not. Richard and Karen are still very much involved in the day to day running of the business with their children Chris and Rebecca also managing the busy and industrious site on Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford. Tech Hose is now one of the UK's leading suppliers of all types of hydraulic and industrial hose and ancillary equipment. We have built a strong local customer base but our reputation for fast and effective service has attracted many new customers from across the UK and Europe.

Tech Hose has a fully stocked warehouse but are also happy to source products in order to satisfy a customer requirement. Our extensive range of products ensures that our customers get what they need when they need them and gives them the confidence to return again and again. We stock and supply quality products for all fluid and air applications for OE equipment, service centres, factory installations and factory maintenance.

Here to deliver
Tech Hose is very proud of our successful Trade Counter based on our site at Rotherwas. It was expanded in 2021 to give our customers a large area to look at the wide selection of stock we carry, and to be able to liaise with our knowledgeable staff. We can make hose assemblies to pattern or to replace an existing hose, and are always happy to help to enable our customers to continue their day as planned. Our customers value the detailed guidance and advice we can provide to ensure they get the right product for every application.

What started with Ian and Richard and has continued to this day is a commitment to providing a professional yet personal service to our varied customers, from a farmer who brings in a broken hose on our Trade Counter, to a Production manager on an OEM site looking at forward planning for factory builds. We set high standards which we ask all our employees to meet and will always endeavour to help our customers in a prompt and courteous manner, either in person, on the phone or via email.
Meet the Team
Tech Hose remains a family business with Richard, Karen, Chris, Rebecca and Chris’ wife Kelly forming a tight-knit centre of the Tech Hose team. However, we also feel that all our staff are part of the wider Tech Hose family and believe firmly that a happy and content workforce can only enhance the service and support we give to our customers. The Tech Hose team offer a vast amount of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm and are always happy to help. We also encourage our staff to be able to cover for and support other members of staff so that Tech Hose can always ensure continuity of support and service.
